FCS Urban Ministries is a Christian community development organization that partners with declining inner-city neighborhoods to bring about social, economic and spiritual rebirth. FCS is a family of ministries comprised of nine programs and non-profit corporations that work in concert to bring holistic change to troubled communities.
Mission Statement
The mission of FCS is to create healthy places in the city where families flourish and the Shalom of God is present. FCS reweaves the fabric of urban community by building upon neighborhood strength and by attracting "strategic neighbors" to move in. With an emphasis on indigenous leadership and a commitment to mixed-income housing development, its strategy yields both social and spiritual vitality as well as economic viability
