Will you donate to build trusting relationships one excellent cup of coffee at a time?
Ten years ago, two neighbors came up with the idea to open a coffee shop in Lakewood Heights, the neighborhood just south of Historic South Atlanta. Their goal was to provide a great cup of coffee and a safe place for neighbors to gather and create community. We achieved that goal, and are proud and thankful for the unique role that Community Grounds plays in our neighborhood.
In the past ten years, Community Grounds has moved, grown, and changed, but two things have not changed: our mission and our espresso machine. Our mission is aging like a fine wine. The espresso machine? Not so much. Picture driving a 2002 Ford Taurus every day for the past fifteen years and you have a snapshot of our espresso machine. It’s time to replace!
We have received a matching grant for half of the cost of a new espresso machine. We have ten days to raise the remaining $5,000, and we’re asking our fans and our customers to help us meet our goal. Community Grounds is thriving in ways that it never has before but we still rely on your support to keep our store open and active for our community.
Please contribute towards a new machine to ensure that Community Grounds can continue serving Historic South Atlanta for years to come. Thanks!
