Are you familiar with Blue Apron or Hello Fresh? These meal preparation and delivery services have become incredibly popular in recent months. Chefs prepare a menu and then deliver perfectly proportioned ingredients for customers to prepare at home. It’s genius!
At Carver Market, our customers are also seeking convenience, along with affordability, healthy ingredients, and great taste. This need and the popularity of prepared meals led to Carver Carryout!
In partnership with Georgia Food Oasis and the Atlanta Community Food Bank, we launched Carver Carryout last month, featuring two recipes from Chef Erik Forman. He cooked up Creamy Curry Chicken Pasta and Thai Basil Beef for our shoppers.
All meals were pre-packed and prepared four servings. Each carryout bag included detailed instructions and nutritional information. We wanted to keep the meals affordable, so they were offered for the introductory price of $14.99. That’s less than a family of four can spend at a fast food joint!
The more we can make healthy eating affordable and accessible, the more it will become a natural part of our community life. Our shoppers are excited about this program, and we are delighted to offer it! We plan to feature other chefs and new meals soon.
